Before getting started measuring your Patio Doors, you will need to collect the following tools:
Measuring your Patio Doors accurately for replacement will require you to take accurate measurements of the width and height. Generally, it’s not necessary to take measurements of the depth. You will only measure the Patio Doors from the inside. Be sure to write down any measurements you take on a piece of paper so you only have to measure once!
When we measure the width, we go from the inside of the left jamb to the inside of the right side jamb. When we measure the height, we go from the inside of the jamb to the opposite bottom jamb. When you measure an opening, measure width first then height in inches. These same instructions apply to both sliding and traditional patio doors.
If you are measuring multiple floors, make sure notate specific doors, whether it be a deck door or a back patio door. This will be helpful when you are relaying to the representative what colors your want on specific doors, features such as locks grids, and other additional details that will make every door look perfect!
